Earthquake Relief in Pakistan | Listen
As the Gulf Coast continues to struggle to recover from
hurricanes Katrina and Rita, another struggle goes on in
the mountains of Northern Pakistan. The earthquake that
ripped through Pakistan and Indian Kashmir two months ago
killed 87,000 people. It left 3.5 million people homeless
-- and the cold of winter is only making matters worse for
them.
The Associated Press reported last week that some of the
survivors, many living in thin tents, are digging graves
now -- before the ground completely freezes. And international
relief organizations are wondering why so much of the foreign
aid that was promised to help quake victims has not yet
arrived.

victims.
